Whenever I attempt to log on to the computer I get an error message

Over the past 5 days, whenever I attempt to log on to my Laptop (one year old) I get an error message that says: Your computer is offline, try again later.

It won't let me even attempt to change a password.  I dont get passed the Log in.

Of course the warranty is expired.  Never had a problem like this before.

Are you using a Microsoft account as your Windows login? Is the laptop connected to the internet? How? Wireless or hard wired? If wireless you might see if you can plug in an ethernet cable for a hardwired connection. I had this happen to me a while back after I changed the password on my Microsoft account. When I tried to log on immediately after it would not let me until I was connected to the internet.
