Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After Windows 10 updated last week I can sign in and the home page starts to load and after 4 seconds the home page starts to load again, and again and again continuously. How can I get my machine working again?

An inplace upgrade is simply upgrading Windows 10 to the latest and is completely free if you are already running windows 10.

I have done this before to fix problem on my personal laptop and it has worked.

Simply download the file on another computer and put it on a flash drive.  From there if possible plug the laptop that is having problems into an ethernet so that it is online the whole time while the inplace upgrade is taking place.  plug the flash drive with the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool into the laptop that is having problems and use task manager to launch the media creation tool.  From there follow the instructions to upgrade the computer to the newest version of Windows 10.  If you need any help please let me know.

can you open task manager and try and end explorer.  If you are successful please try opening a command prompt and running SFC /SCANNOW.

It's at 80% and I hope it does too.

If not then we could try an inplace upgrade.

The scan completed and I restarted the machine and it didn't fix the problem. However the background picture changed and that in itself is something anyway.

Is it possible to restore the OS to before the problem started? I don't know what an inplace upgrade is. It sounds costly. And not only in $$$
