Elitebook 830 G6
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello together,

As mentioned in the topic I did a clean install Win 11 on a 830 G6 device.

Everything runs as expected except:

the pointstick and the additional mouse buttons obove the touchpad are not working.

In the meantime I played arround with different synaptics driver versions but unfortunatelly no success.

Any  advice from the community ?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @John6933

You should check in the Device Manager to see which drivers are not recognized.

Use the following application to check if you have all the updated drivers.

HP Image Assistant | HP Client Management Solutions

Thank You, Resistencia.

unfortunatly my 830 is not supported and the comarision with a generic model does Not result in an improvement.

The HPIA is for all HP business line models..  Also, you did not answer my question which drivers are not recognized by the Device Manager,

The device manager does not show any abnormality - no devices with questionmark.

is that what you are asking for?

but if you use HPIA, don't you need to update drivers ?

A few drivers have been identified to be updates.

I did. that accordigly. But no Synaptics was among them.

But as I  mentioned above, the tool told me first that for my model no template is available and only a comparision with a generic model has been provided.

you should see if inside the drivers there is the chipset, your issue is that the i/o chipset is failing and can not find the touch
