My notebook crashed and had to have a hard drive replacement. But I have no recovery media, so how do I reload Windows 10 and all the needed drivers on to the new hard drive?

Hi:
See if your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

I tried to create a USB recovery using that tool, but because the hard drive was bad, it could never make it through before giving me a blue screen of death and then crashed completely. So I have no way of downloading the media.
Is there any other way of getting a recovery DVD?
Thank you!

Thanks for the info estimation point I'm going to try it. Although last time I tried to reload it from a USB, it kept trying to boot from the DVD even though I changed it in the Bios settings. But I'm thinking the crash during the attempt to make the USB corrupted it. This is the best lead I have so far. Thank you!

You're very welcome.
To boot from the USB flash drive, have the W10 USB in a USB port.
Turn on or restart the PC.
Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the USB flash drive, and press the Enter key.
The PC should then boot from the flash drive.
