Hi
I plan on selling my laptop and wish to reinstall it back to factory standard beforehand.
My issue is that while all the recovery partitions are still intact I have lost my recovery media in a recent house move. I have tried installing HP recovery manager multiple times but it doesn't actually install. It does go through all the motions. Will not re-install from bios either.
Please help

Presuming this model laptop came with Win10 preinstalled, what you're doing SHOULD work -- and I have no idea why it is not.

If you want to talk with HP Customer Support to see if you can get the media for free, or little cost, contact information is as follows:

My issue was regarding hp recovery media for my envy notebook which is less than 18 months old. Having ordered said media and not receiving it I phoned regarding its absence only to be told more than a week later that it was no longer available. Less than 18 months old and no longer available, that's bad customer support in my opinion. The reason for the recovery media was because the notebook wouldn't boot. It wouldn't recover from the recovery console or the bios. So at this moment in time the notebook is a only useful as a doorstop. What would hp be likely to do about this situation.
By the way I am reasonably computer savvy.
