Whenever I tried to update to windows 10 october 2020 update the update always got stucked at 48% on "working on updates screen" and I have to hard reboot my computer.
My notebook model: Pavilion 15-AU016TX
Current Operating System: windows 10 1909
However I have another issue. My PC always freezes when I try to use nvidea drivers. When I disable it and keep running the Intel HD graphics only then the PC runs smoothly. I doubt if this is the reason behind that update stucking issue. May be windows is trying to access the nvidea driver during feature update installation. Then how can I prevent that?
N. B: I kept disabled nvidea drivers during the feature update

Personally, I would advise against forcing an update to v20H2 at this time -- as more and more issues are surfacing about it every day. I have had to roll two of the PCs I support back to v20H1 due to issues with v20H2.
If you read this article I wrote, you can enter "19041.746" in the UUPDUMP search area and download and build installation media for v20H1: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Knowledge-Base/Getting-older-builds-of-Windows-10-from-Micro...
Good Luck

OK, I had that happen to a PC I support as well -- jumped from 1909 to 20H2 through Windows Update and that cause major issues with it. Use the information in that article, along with UUPDump to download and create an 19042.746 install ISO.

Ok, I will follow the article. But will this allow me to update my PC or I have to fully reinstall the whole OS again. I have many apps and platforms ready in this OS. So Is there any way I can update to version 20H1 now?
