Pavilion 15 ec0014nt
Microsoft Windows 11

12345.png1234.png123.pngI have an HP Pavilion 15 ec0xxx (which shows as ec0014nt when I use the serial number but it is different in the System Information page). I have switched to Windows 11 recently, my laptop supports it and even downloaded Microsoft's PC Health Check again to be sure that there was no mistake. The problem is HP support page detects the OS as Windows 10, even after downloading HP Support Assistant, I get driver updates for Win10, not 11. Some of my drivers SA downloads are from 2020!

Seriously, what can we do to get appropriate support from HP for windows 11? Support Assistant broke more than it was suppose to fix. I can't even use the latest drivers from AMD's Radeon Software because Windows update keeps reverting the driver to a version from 2020.  (the issue is not just the amd drivers btw, that is another issue).

Can someone help me with this problem please?

this refers to the series
so if it is supported by hp, you may have to wait a while for the drivers to be made available
Please note, I cannot guarantee that this will be the case, and in how long

hi

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-gaming-15-ec0000-laptop-pc-series/29322...

it is not because the computer is compatible according to microsoft, that HP will develop drivers for it.
see, this
you have a computer list, check if it is part of it

Hi, thank you for replying. I have checked the list and HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0xxx is in the list (I suppose that xxx is an umbrella term for all 15 -ec0 model variants? )

I understand. I think going back to Windows 10 is the best solution for now, until I'm sure I will get the correct drivers for the OS.

However, it would be nice if HP at least gave us a heads up concerning the drivers -that not all supported models will get Win11 ready drivers when we upgrade-, as this driver issue can cause instability when we download the new Windows 11 drivers for Radeon and Nvidia, and it can also cause wrong benchmark results which is highly important for people who tweak their cpu or gpu settings if they don't want to fry their laptops/pcs.   (Maybe they already did mention it somewhere -somewhere deep deep inside the internet- )

But of course none if this is your responsibility or fault; thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question, have a nice day.
