I reviewed your post and I understand the Windows face unlock (Windows Hello) feature is not working on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I would like to inform you that for the Windows face unlock feature to work you need a IR camera. I checked the specifications of your computer and see that your computer doesn’t have a IR camera and that is reason why the face unlock feature is not working.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Windows hello Face recognition is not the only unavailable feature. Windows Hello fingerprint and windows hello Pin code is also unavailable at the moment, i am not able to activate them once again for an unknown reason. When i press on one of those features it says "something went wrong. try again later". I cannot set up a new pin code or fingerprint!

Thanks for your reply, hope you find me a solution to my problem.

For the fingerprint to work you need to have the fingerprint scanner (Hardware) on your computer.

Follow the below steps to setup the PIN for your computer.

NOTE: To setup Windows PIN you need to have a password.

  1. Select Settings from the Start menu.
  2. Select Accounts in the Settings app.
  3. On the ACCOUNTS page, select Sign-in options from the options on the left.
  4. Click Add below PIN.
  5. Verify your Microsoft account password and click OK.
  6. Now enter a PIN for device and click Finish.

The add bottom within the windows hello pin  and windows hello fingerprint cannot be chosen!!

Indeed, of course i have a fingerprint scanner. Keep in mind that fingerprint and pin code where set before and was working properly. Suddenly, when i was trying to change my pin code an error occurred and i wouldn't become able to activate it once again.

Thank you for the information.

I recommend you uninstall the fingerprint driver from device manager and then download and install it from the below link and check.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp104001-104500/sp104433.exe

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes.
