You're very welcome.
You don't have to buy a license.
You have the W11 Pro product key, so you follow the instructions under the section of the link where you already have a product key:
If you have a Windows 11 Pro product key
Select Start > Settings > System > Activation.
Select Change product key, and then enter the 25-character Windows 11 Pro product key.
Select Next to start the upgrade to Windows 11 Pro.
If that doesn't work, you will have to contact Microsoft for further assistance.
Clean installing Windows won't work because you will always end up with W11 Home since that is what type of product key that is encrypted in the BIOS.
I've used the above method to upgrade from Home to Pro so I know it will work that way.

You're very welcome.
You have a good weekend too and I hope that Microsoft will be able to help you update from W11 Home to W11 pro.
Also, Google/Bing is your friend...search for similar issues.
I found this one for example, where the Microsoft volunteer suggested the person to disconnect from the internet and enter the generic W11 Pro product key to get things started--Method 3.
