Hi:
The Windows product key is in your notebook's BIOS.
But Windows is asking for a key to an upgraded version of Windows to get more features, such as upgrading from W8.1 Single Language (SL) to W8.1 any language, or W8.1 Single Language to W8.1 Professional, and you need a different product key for that which you would have to buy.
If you want to see the Windows 8.1 SL product key in your notebook's BIOS, you can install the free Showkey Plus utility from the Microsoft Store.
Get ShowKeyPlus - Microsoft Store
Upgrades...
Your notebook can support a maximum of 2 x 8 GB of DR3L-1600 memory.
This would be a compatible 8 GB memory if you want to add an 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot:
Crucial 8GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM | CT102464BF160B | Crucial.com
This would be a compatible 4 GB memory chip to add to the empty slot.
Crucial 4GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM | CT51264BF160B | Crucial.com
Yes, it would be a very good idea to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.
This 500 GB SSD would be what I recommend...
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory and hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

How do I find the product key.
Also, my notebook is having 4GB RAM, which seems to be not enbough, what is the recommended RAM size for this note book.
Will it be good idea for changuing the Hard Disk to SSD type, will that enhance the performance.
