Windows installation stuck at 88%

I performed a reset in my PC and it  got stuck while installing the windows at 88% for about 5 hours. What shall I do now to resolve this issue. 

Reset was performed because I am unable to access windows security, it just shows a blank screen and even the windows update shows up to date. So I thought it's due to some virus and performed reset.

Hi:

Wait 2 - 3 hours more and see if the reset completes.

If not, you can use another working windows PC and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create a bootable recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool.

That is another way to factory reset your notebook and sometimes works when the built in recovery system doesn't.

I just waited for few hours and it automatically got installed.

Sometimes the system resets take an extraordinary amount of time, and when you are just about to give up, they finish.
