Product: HP 245 G5 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

 

How would I know that my system was shipped with Windows 10? 

If I will download Windows 10 from Microsoft Web site using Media Creation Tool and install the OS, how the Windows 10 will  get activate? Do I need any activation key or do I need to purchase the Windows 10?

Hi:

 

Some models come with FreeDOS and some come with W10, so you have to make sure you buy one that specifically states that it comes with W10.

 

Models that come with FreeDOS have no W10 product key in the BIOS, so you would have to buy W10 from Microsoft.

 

It would be cheaper to buy the notebook from HP with W10 already included than to buy W10 on your own and install it.
