My computer won’t UPDATE 

I’ve cleaned out my laptop I’ve restarted my laptop I’ve factory reset my laptop and it still WONT UPDATE 

It’s a windows 8 hp 2000

The message that keeps popping up is 

windows could not search for new updates.

there was a problem checking for updates. 
Error found:

code: 80073EFE   Windows update ran into a problem.  Get help with this error
