HP ENVY notebook 15-ah151sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just reinstalled from HP factory settings and now I get the following message on startup:-

AccelerometrSr.exe - System Error.

The code execution cannot proceed because accelerometerdll.Dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this.

Where can I fnd this program and how do I reinstall it please.

Hi:

Follow David's instructions again, but use this file instead as he had posted.

Hi:

Open the Windows Control Panel, select Programs and Features, right click the entry for the HP 3D DriveGuard, and select Uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the notebook.

When you are at the Windows desktop, download and install this version of HP 3D DriveGuard at the link below, and restart the PC.

Hi Paul, thank you for helping me. I have just tried your suggestion but unfortunately still got the same message on restart.

You're very welcome.

Sorry that solution doesn't work anymore.

There must have been a recent update to Windows that prevents that driver from working.

We'll have to monitor any forum posts for an updated solution to this issue.

OK, well thanks anyway.

Hi:

I came up with an idea that worked for someone else yesterday.

Please see this discussion and you may want to try my suggestion as well...

No joy, i'm afraid. I had found a new driver on the HP site, tried that but it didn't work. Tried your new solution , but no luck.

A tec guy at PC world told me that the problem is that the prog is incompatible with windows 10, since an update and that we will have to wait for microsoft/Hp to solve the problem.

Thanks anyway.

Hi Paul,

Downloaded app for my PC ( HP ENVY 15-ah151sa) - Sp71811.exe and followed the new instructions.

Well now I have a different error message :-

Compatibility Assistant

This App can't run on this PC

HP Accelerometer

HP Accelerometer doesn't work on this version of Windows. An updated app may be avaiable.

What do I do now?
