Product: mini 1000
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

I'm 93 and lost Xp on HP Mini 1000, Londloaded a copy of it. I can bring it up,I kept activate MS as an error, I click yes and it doesn activate the download. Any suggestion would help.Thanks and God bless.  Lewis Madison (lewmad12@sbcglobal.net)

Sorry, but most likely you can't - activate the XP copy you downloaded.

The version that came preinstalled on the PC was an HP OEM version, and that requires a special OEM license.

Any version that you download now is most likely a Retail version, and that will not activate with an HP OEM license.

You can try using this utility to see if it can find an existing license key on your PC:  http://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/windows_oem_product_key_tool,1.html

But, I doubt seriously that it is going to work.
