@Himanshu_1641, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing battery issues with your HP 15-gw0000 Laptop PC. Let's work together to resolve this.
Check Battery Health Using HP Support Assistant
HP provides a built-in tool to diagnose battery health.
- Download or open HP Support Assistant: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Go to Battery > Click Battery Check
- Review the results:
- Primary Battery OK: Battery is functioning normally.
- Replace Battery: Battery may need replacement.
Update BIOS and Drivers
Outdated BIOS or drivers can cause battery issues.
- Visit the Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support
- Enter your product: HP 15-gw0000
- Download and install the latest:
- BIOS
- Chipset drivers
- Power Management drivers
Calibrate the Battery
Battery calibration helps improve accuracy of battery readings.
- Fully charge the battery to 100%
- Disconnect the charger and let the battery drain to 0% (laptop shuts down)
- Recharge to 100% without interruption
Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
To rule out hardware faults:
- Turn off the laptop
- Press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open diagnostics
- Select Component Tests > Power > Battery Test
Windows Battery Report
You can generate a detailed battery report:
- Press Windows + X > Windows Terminal (Admin)
- Type: powercfg /batteryreport
- Open the generated report at: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\battery-report.html
This report shows battery wear level and charge cycles.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
