Hi i have 2 hp 250 g6 laptops...both have the same problem and it is hp fault.I have the hp app and it said bios driver update available..so i updated...said restart computer to finish install ...and both laptops just stuck on blank screen..not getting to hp logo...so help needed please...did a hard shutdown and restart to no avail..I blame HP solely for this and want to know is this a hp scam to deliberately crash the machine..Also hot keys on show up but do not load the page..no lights on keyboard...used win + b key to update bios...but machine still not going to hp logo even

check warranty and call for repair info:

===If not in warranty===

I assume you tried to install the F73 bios as it was released Sep 2023

The win+b key is a bios restore as described here in step 3.   When you tried it did anything happen?  A message show up?

Did you try the windows key + v to clear the CMOS?

You might try the USB recovery as described in step 3 second part.  Expand the BIOS revision history and pick an older bios such as F71 from 2022 l(below link)

 https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp143501-144000/sp143731.exe

If the above (F71) has the same problem then pick an older bios.

Create a recovery USB flash

Use a 16gb or larger with a built in LED so you can see it tried to load the bios.  It will flash once when the system is powered up and will flash multiple times if the "b" or "v" works.  From step 3 part 2:

  1. Insert the USB flash drive with the BIOS file into an available USB port on the notebook.

  2. Press and hold the Windows + b keys, and then simultaneously press and hold the power button.

    On some notebook models, you instead might need to press and hold the Windows + v keys.

hi thanks for your speedy reply...i will try your suggestion tomorrow..yes it was the 73 update and i totally blame HP..i will have to buy a usb then try your suggestion..honestly i can see myself suing HP for this.. they must know the problem.As i said even when i restart and initiate esc or any other diagnostic key it just says "example" bios key but page will not load..i am really very upset with hp and will not let this go..Similar to what Apple did

 hi and thanks BeemerBiker...tried a usb from your link...no go..Went to HP driver site...can only download the F73...tried it anyway...no go..when i did a bios recover with win +B keys...said a bios recovery has occured...but just a backlit screen...When i press Esc or F9 or F10 only has one line on the bottom ..page not opening..Tomorrow i will ring HP and ask them to replace or fix my laptops st their total expense as i have wasted a lot of my time and frustration...if they do not agree i think the best thing would be to give them very negative feedback on every available site..then i would consider legal action as i KNOW it is the fault of HP and i think it is deliberate..have a great day and watch the war begin...cost me a thousand i will cost them a million as i fervently believe they are crooks
