Hello Jenko69,

Thank you for posting your concern,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. If you're encountering a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) related to Secure Boot updates on your HP 250 G8 Notebook PC, it can sometimes be resolved by adjusting the system's BIOS settings or updating the firmware. Here are a few steps that might help resolve the issue:

  1. Check for BIOS Updates:

    • Visit the HP Support website and search for your specific model, HP 250 G8 Notebook PC. Ensure you have the latest BIOS firmware installed.
  2. Restore BIOS Default Settings:

    • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS Setup (usually by pressing Esc or F10 during startup).
    • Find the option to restore the default settings and apply it. This can vary slightly but is often found under the "Exit" or "Save & Exit" tab.
    • Save changes and exit the BIOS.
  3. Disable Secure Boot Temporarily:

    • Access the BIOS Setup again.
    • Navigate to the "Security" or "Boot" tab in BIOS.
    • Look for "Secure Boot" and set it to "Disabled".
    • Save the settings and exit.
  4. Check for Windows Updates:

    • Make sure your Windows 11 software is fully up-to-date as some updates are designed to fix known issues related to BSOD errors.
  5. Run a Windows Health Check:

    • Use Windows built-in tools like 'sfc /scannow' and 'DISM' to attempt automatic repair of any corrupt system files.
  6. Contact HP Support:

    • If these steps do not resolve the issue, and given the difficulties you mentioned with support, try reaching out to HP's online support or HP's support forums. They might be able to provide further assistance specifically tailored to this issue.

For a more accurate and model-specific guidance, you may need access to your system's specific support documentation on the HP website or any available support services in other regions if global support is an option.
