Hello again

Here is an update. Downloaded HP Cloud Recovery Tool. Had to use a Windows 10 Computer.

All together the process took 12 hours.

It only allowed me to download Windows 11.

My computer is now totally inoperable.

Freezes. Restarts. Can't even get to the Hard Drive to see what is on it as none of the links open.

I looked around on the Net and saw that I am not the only one with this issue.

Nor can I use Go Back, it is not an option in the list.

I am posting this so others can beware of this tool. Not sure why they propose something that doesn't work.

I am going to retry Windows 10 Recovery USB.

Sad to see HP doesn't provide Windows 10 option with the cloud recovery tool.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I want to thank you for all the links. I finally got it working.

I had a hard time until I could get that computer on the internet.

I am left with one last issue, HDMI.

I will post separately as new issue.

I wanted to get back to any one who was following this problem. I found out that the source of my problem was a swollen battery.  The computer started acting strange. Restarting when I turned it off. Hanging. So I did the Windows 10 restore from a USB. But the computer didn't connect to the Internet long enough to download drivers. Finally I saw that the mouse pad was bulging. I took the battery test and it wouldn't calibrate. I also so saw that the right mouse pad was stuck in the on position because of the bulge. So I took apart and the battery was in very bad shape.

Its outside in case of fire.

So I hope this helps others with the same issues
