Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

recently updated HP firmware

after update there is a folder at "C:\hpswsetup" containing "sp111311"

usually i delete these leftover folders, but cant do it this time

says that i should request premission from "Administrators"

after changing the folder owner to my current user and giving my current user full rights, it says i should request premission from my current profile? (the one i logged in as)? what is this update?

you must not meddle with it as it is a crucial update from HP for your desktop/laptop as doing so can cause you problem

HP Recommended

it is not an update

it is installer files of the update, update already been applied

HP Recommended

The update has been installed but it's like some important program files of that update which are necessary for it to run smoothly and besides it isn't also very big

man, i know you trying to help, but it looks like you dont know what you are talking about

its not files required for the update, its setup and rollback files

they also are not used by any process in the system

its just another quirk on HP part now blocking the user from delete those, whereas before they were always easy to delete

ps. and if there are some required files by offchance, they should go into program files or windows or user folder, and not clutter C:\ anyway, so either way, its dumb design on HP part
