HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15m-es0000 (268U4AV)

My kids computer stopped working. Was stuck in a loop on automatic recovery, I watched some YouTube videos and there seems to be no errors with the hardware so I created a windows 11 usb boot disk, but when choosing a drive to install it too, there's no valid drives to be seen.

How do I proceed from here? I tried the disk part solutions to no avail. They give me errors such as partition size to big when trying to format. In the F2 diagnostics the disks can be seen and I receive no errors on any of the scans

The only suggestion I can offer would be to Google the stop code error and see what the causes could be

The storage controller drivers I originally gave you should work on any PC with an Intel 11th generation core or newer processor.

Since that didn't work, and the cloud recovery tool media doesn't work, the problem is beyond my scope of knowledge to resolve.

I zipped up and attached the Intel storage controller drivers below so Windows can find the drive.

Copy all of the files in both folders in the attached file to a USB flash drive.

Have the flash drive and your Windows installation media plugged into USB ports.

Boot from the W11 installation flash drive.

When you get to the screen where no drives can be found, click on the Load driver option, browse to the flash drive with the storage controller drivers on it.

If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

Click Next and if those are the right drivers Windows should find the drive and install.

Your other option if your notebook came with Windows from the factory would be to use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:

When you created the Windows 11 USB installation, was it as legacy MBR?

A legacy MBR Windows 11 usb installation flash drive will not see the GPT  hard disk volume your laptop has.

Try creating a Windows 11 installer with RUFUS. Make sure that it is set to create a GPT version.

I'm trying this now, but once I choose the drivers for my second USB they seem to be loading non stop for some reason and then I get a blue screen telling me it ran into an unknown error. The other option is not possible cause I cant get into windows at all.

I will try this now

The other option would be possible if you use another PC.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.

HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Microsoft Apps

You have to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.

Your notebook's product number is 341T3UA#ABA

I tried Rufus using the video tutorial, but I'm running into the same problem. I try load drivers from an usb but it stays loading until it ends with a blue screen

I will try this now. Thanks

I did download the tool on a different computer and booted the faulty one up, but it just keeps loading. Im thinking for the cloud recovery there must be some kind of system to base it off ? Cause it don't seem to be going nowhere so far. I will try restart again

After you installed the cloud recovery tool and ran it as administrator, did it successfully create the bootable USB recovery drive?

It normally takes 15 - 20 minutes for it to download the HP recovery image and transfer it to the USB flash drive.

After the recovery drive has been created, you plug it into the non-working PC's USB port.

Tum or on restart the PC.

Immediately tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the USB recovery flash drive, and press the Enter key.

The PC should then boot from the USB recovery drive and load files to begin the recovery process.
