The keyboard layout stuck It was removed

But i have another question and another

The question is :

Why should i disable secure boot before doing back up ? is it risky if i have a rootkit or a bootkit already installed on my laptop or not ?

And the problem is the boot of windows is very slow i have this configuration in my laptop

Hp-laptop 15-eg0xxx  Processor :11th Gen intel(R) core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80Ghz 2.80 Ghz  Ram : 12 GB

SSD : 512 GB  Graphic card : intel Iris 6GB

Even that its very slow when i boot to windows

How could i solve this problem ?

Hi@sanyo87,

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

Secure boot functionality helps prevent malicious software and unauthorized operating system during the system startup process, disabling which will cause to load up drivers which as not authorized by Microsoft.

With Secure Boot disabled, your computer is at greater risk from rootkit infections that install themselves before the Windows boot process. Antivirus or security software typically does not protect against these types of threats.

Secure Boot prevents legacy boot devices from starting your computer, including bootable CDs, DVDs, and USB flash drives. To start your computer from a valid disc, enable Legacy Support, and then select the correct drive as the boot device.

If PC is booting to windows slowly you can try these steps.

Go to Settings > System > Power & Sleep and click the Additional Power Settings link on the right-hand side of the window. From there, click Choose What the Power Buttons Do, and you should see a checkbox next to Turn on Fast Startup in the list of options.

Have a great day!

Thank you very much for the support

Frankly, I made a mistake. I knew that my laptop was infected by a rootkit before I did the backup,

And i disabled secure boot thinking I was right

How do I fix my mistake  ?
