Hi! I have an 840 G1 laptop. Does the 840 g1 support Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) boot mode?

Hi:

It should support UEFI and it should also support secure boot, but secure boot is supported only when running W8 or newer.

I have a 350 G1 notebook (budget model of an 840 G1) and I am running W11 22H2 in UEFI mode with secure boot enabled.

Hi! My 840 g1 now boots on UEFI with secure boot enabled. But I cannot make it run with Win 11 because the cpu is not qualified according to Microsoft. How did you manage to make your 350 G1 run on Win 11?

Hi:

See this discussion below for how I got my HP 350 G1 to upgrade to W11.

If for some reason the PC won't do an in-place upgrade to W11 (I had a couple that wouldn't), you can use the bootable USB installer you made with Rufus to clean install W11, and it should work fine.

Thanks a lot!
