Hi there,

after a clean installation of Win 10 some device drivers are missing

I have searched the HP site for the drivers without success.

The scan did show me all the drivers of this computer, but it also showed the following:
"Successfully detected - you do not need new drivers at this time."

The HP Support Assistant don't helps me furhter.

How should i proceed?

PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3298&SUBSYS_18EC103C&REV_00Bluetooth-Controller
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E3A&SUBSYS_1818103C&REV_04PCI Kommunikationscontroller (einfach)
ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004Unbekanntes Gerät
USB\VID_138A&PID_0018&REV_0078Unbekanntes Gerät

PS

Hi:

You need these drivers for those devices...

PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3298

This package contains the driver installation package for the Mediatek Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71572.exe

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E3A:

This package provides the Intel Management Engine Components Driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65501-66000/sp65514.exe

ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004:

This package provides the HP 3D DriveGuard software for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. HP 3D DriveGuard protects the hard drive by "parking the heads" if the notebook is accidentally dropped or is abruptly impacted by another object.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64144.exe

USB\VID_138A&PID_0018:

This package contains the driver that enables the Validity Fingerprint Sensor in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The fingerprint sensor scans fingerprints for use with biometric security applications.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58900.exe

You may need to manually install the fingerprint sensor driver if the auto install method doesn't work.

To do that, go to the device manager.  Click on the USB\VID_138A&PID_0018 device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the location of the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That location will be in C:\SWSetup\sp58900.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver will install.

Thank you Paul_Tikkanen!

this has worked - no more faulty devices are listed in the device manager.

Can I now delete the folder C:\SWSetup\sp58900 - surely it is only necessary temporarily?

The driver for the fingerprint sensor should work.

How do I activate the access to the pc with fingerprint sensor? Currently  I have access  without it.

You're very welcome.

Yes, you can delete the entire SWSetup folder.

That just contained the driver and software files you installed but they have no effect on the operation of the notebook.

I would try this W10 fingerprint reader software and see if that works for you...

This package contains the HP SimplePass Identity Protection Software for the supported notebook models and operating systems. This software protects identity information and account access using the computer owner's fingerprint.
