I understand you are facing an issue with your HP ENVY x360 convertible 15m-es0xxx are having trouble starting after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
- Step 1: Shut down the laptop completely.
- Step 2: Disconnect the charger and remove any connected peripherals.
- Step 3: Press and hold the Power button for 15-20 seconds.
- Step 4: Plug the charger back in and try powering the laptop on.
2. Try Entering Safe Mode
- Step 1: Turn the laptop on and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly (or Esc to access the startup menu, then select F11) until you see the recovery menu.
- Step 2: Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- Step 3: Once restarted, select Enable Safe Mode by pressing the appropriate number key (usually 4 or F4).
- If the laptop starts in Safe Mode, it may indicate that there’s an issue with a driver or incompatible software that needs updating.
3. Reset BIOS Settings
- Step 1: Turn off the laptop.
- Step 2: Press the F10 key repeatedly when starting the laptop to enter BIOS.
- Step 3: Once in the BIOS, press F9 to reset BIOS settings to default, then press F10 to save and exit.
- Step 4: Try booting into Windows again.
4. Rollback to Windows 10
If your system isn't starting correctly, and you can access the recovery menu, you can attempt to roll back to Windows 10.
- Step 1: Boot into the Advanced Startup Options using F11 or Esc.
- Step 2: Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Go back to the previous version of Windows.
5. Repair Startup

6. System Restore
If you had system restore points enabled before upgrading to Windows 11:
- Step 1: Boot into the Advanced Startup Options using F11.
- Step 2: Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System Restore.
- Step 3: Choose a restore point prior to the Windows 11 upgrade.
7. Check for Driver Issues
Windows 11 may have compatibility issues with some of the drivers that were running on Windows 10. If you're able to boot into Safe Mode or the Advanced Startup Options, you may want to update or reinstall drivers, particularly the display, chipset, and storage drivers.
