Hello @Gwendoline_King 

Big question: Does your desktop still work when this error pops up?

If so, go to the Start Menu and navigate to the HP Support Assistant and run it. Find the Product Number of your laptop and tell us what it is. We need this anytime you post a new thread on the HP forum so we know what you have. 🙂

 

There are a lot of fixes on the net explaining possible solutions. Take a look at this one and try the suggestions if your desktop is still usable.

If that does not work, you may have to reinstall Windows.

Let me know what you find.
