Hi @Dadiara,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your laptop is showing F1, F2, and other prompts at startup along with the error code 0xc0000225. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Understand the error
Error 0xc0000225 usually indicates Windows cannot find the system files required to boot, which can be due to a corrupted boot configuration, missing system files, or drive issues.

Check BIOS settings
– Restart the laptop and press F2 (or the key your system uses) to enter BIOS.
– Verify the boot order is correct and that your main storage drive is recognized.

Run Startup Repair
– Create a Windows 11/10 installation USB (if you don’t have one).
– Boot from the USB → select Repair your computerTroubleshootAdvanced optionsStartup Repair.
– Follow the prompts to let Windows attempt automatic repair.

Check and rebuild Boot Configuration Data (BCD)
– Boot into the installation USB → Command Prompt in Advanced Options.
– Run the following commands one by one:

bootrec /scanos

bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot

bootrec /rebuildbcd

– Restart the laptop after completing these commands.

Check disk health
– From the same Command Prompt, run:

chkdsk C: /f /r

– This will check and repair any file system errors on your drive.

Last resort – reinstall Windows
– If none of the above works, a clean installation of Windows may be needed. Make sure to back up your data if possible before reinstalling.

I hope this helps.
