fingerprint option says we could not find fingerprint scanner compatible with your windows hello fingerprint

Open Device Manager and look under Biometric devices. If the fingerprint reader is there, uninstall it (check delete driver box if appears) and restart. Now, install below driver then restart your laptop and check:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp135501-136000/sp135736.exe
