hp notebook

hello please help i forgot my password. so i went on recovery manager backed up my files etc onto a disc ,i then factory reset .im trying to put files back on my laptop from the disc but i cant open them they are swm files .PLEASE HELP

On the backup disk look for a Recoverymgr.exe file.

 

Double click on it to initiate the restoration of the files to a location on your C:\ drive.

thanks erico this worked .but whilst i was putting the backup files back on my computer it turned itself off ,i turned it back on you could hear it was on put the screen remaind black ,i took it to a computer repair shop .who said it was a memory issue they fitted  a 8 gig of memory . but now it keeps turning off and blue screens of death appear with error messages one was memory_management ,i ran a windows diagnostic tool  it said there were hardware problems .since iv done that it hasnt switched off put a small white box  often appears with a triangle ! symbol and it says windows memory diagnostic your computer has a memory problem .

what do you think the issue could be ?.Please help

I just need it so I can get the market year and specific hardware configuration.
