Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need help on how to determine if Windows 10 on the notebook is an upgrade from say Windows 8 or is not an upgrade.

I had some problems with the sound drivers on an early upgrade to Windows 10 on another HP notebook and I understand that this issue has been resolved with HP notebooks with Windows 10 that are not upgrades.

Hi,

 

I can't find HP Envy 17-So13ca (oh) but HP Envy 17-S013ca (zero). The following link shows its specs:

 

      http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05187473

 

It has Windows 10 Home 64bit pre-installed.

I was unable to find the answer in the two links provided.  Please advise me if I have overlooked something.

The notebook is an HP Envy 17-So13ca.

I am wondering that in an upgrade,  if there is some footprint of Windows 7 or Windows 8 remaining that could be found?

There is the other alternative,  that there is no way of determining if Windows 10 is an upgrade.

In any event,  I am still hopeful that I will be informed of a way to determine whether Windows 10 is an upgrade or not.
