Only some HP business notebooks with the Intel Skylake and Kaby Lake processors can have the TPM 1.2 firmware updated to version 2.0.

Hi:

 

Follow the guidance for your notebook model at the link below for how to update the TPM firmware.

 

HP Desktops, Notebooks, and Workstations - HP TPM Configuration Utility With Windows 10 Anniversary ...

 

I did the update on my HP Elitedesk 800 G3 DM PC and it was successful.

 

Now, if you are wanting to do this to run W11, your notebook's processor is not a W11-supported processor, so updating the firmware won't matter if that is what you are doing it for.
