Hi @WW928

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

To pair and use the HP Pen with your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dw, follow these steps:

1. Check Compatibility

  • Ensure that your HP Pen is compatible with your specific notebook model. The HP Pavilion x360 typically supports active pens.

2. Remove Any Caps or Covers

  • If your pen has a cap or cover, remove it before attempting to pair.

3. Turn On Bluetooth

  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your notebook:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Turn on Bluetooth if it’s not already enabled.

4. Pair the Pen

  • Pairing Mode: Most HP Pens automatically enter pairing mode when you first use them or when the button is pressed.
  • Connect:
    • In the Bluetooth & other devices settings, click on Add Bluetooth or other device.
    • Select Bluetooth and wait for your pen to appear in the list. Click on it to pair.

5. Check for Updates

  • Ensure your Windows and drivers are up to date:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

6. Test the Pen

  • Once paired, you can test the pen by using it on your screen. Try opening a drawing or note-taking app to check if it responds.

7. Calibration (if necessary)

  • If your pen doesn’t work as expected, you may want to calibrate it:
    • Search for Pen and Touch in the Windows search bar.
    • Select Calibrate and follow the prompts.

8. Check for Additional Software

  • Depending on your pen model, you may need to download specific drivers or software from HP’s support website.

refer to manual, click here

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Raj,

Thanks for your reply.  Unfortunately the HP Pen (which comes with my notebook original package) doesn’t have bluetooth, that’s why I don't know how to pair.

Thanks

Hi Raj,

Thank you for your reply and the link.  Let me explain the following things about my Pen to you.

  1. No button on the top of my Pen
  2. Since there is no button on the top of my Pen, I don't think I can turn on the Bluetooth to pair with my notebook.

I've attached a few pictures of my Pen for you.  Please help to take a look and how to solve my problem.  Thanks
