I have full functionality, right click, left click, and drag.  As of now no jerkyness, no glitchyness, no errent clicks.  I feel it was a hardware problem.

Just curious, how long was the repair process?

and do you have any sort of Ticket or reference # that might be useful to give HP repair if any of us goes through them to fix this issue.

These HP updates deal with the problem at all? Or is it confirmed to be a hardware problem at this point?

HP updates do absolutely nothing. It's not been confirmed to be a hardware or driver issue however it seems more likely to be hardware.

It's my personal suspicion that it is a static buildup issue. So perhaps wrapping the internal components with anti static tape may fix it. But since almost none of our warranties are out of date I don't think anyone would consider voiding them at this point to tinker with hardware.

It's also still possible that this is a driver issue. If u look a few pages back I posted a repository full of hundreds of drivers you can test and see if any one provides a more stable experience.

If you still have a warenty I don't recoment voiding it by doing any self repair work.

After following all of the teddieous non help from the HP tech support line I requested to have my machine express shipped at HP's expense to repair and express shipped back to me. Totel turnaround time was about a week and a half.

I still have no problems, i live in the desert, static buildup is bunk.  It's a hardware proplem.

I had mine repaired they replaced the touchpad and connecting cable and still the same problem.
Could you post a reference number I could give them and or screenshots of the driver and synaptics software version you have installed?

I also bought the HP Envy m6-n012dx in summer of july 2014 for college at bestbuy. I am so dissapointed with this product. It was such a great deal when i bought it great specs beautiful screen i had a smaller hp netbook thoughout highschool it was great never failed so i expected the same thing when i bought this latop. This laptop wasn't cheap either.  It was either this laptop or a Macbook pro and ever since these issues have began to get worse and worse ive regetting not getting that Macbook pro. I will never buy an HP product ever again!!! I thought i was the only one with the touchpad issue guess not HP should fix this or recall this laptop!

I just sent mine away to repair. I hope they can duplitcate the problem and fix it. If you have any glitches, please post right away. Its crazy how HP isn't addressing this. Its been over 3 months since they've heard about it.
