@Avien wrote:After a couple days of plugging things in such as Hard Drives, USB's, Controllers, Wireless keyboards and mice I still havent had an issue.
I certainly never thought this issue was tied to usb devices, because I never plugged any into my laptop.
I would expect your issue to return in time, whether it be a few weeks or a month. If not, consider yourself lucky 🙂

i can concur no issues to date and ive plugged in many usb devices flash drives external dvd burner hard drive printer etc after my first post the only issues ive had to date are my own fault from my palm brushing the pad while typing which my m6 has been downgraded to windows 7 and has driver version 18.0.6.2 which before i isolated it within no more than 20 min the touchpad would go nuts

everything is glitchy.
The most anoying part is, touching the trackpad and then trying to click with another hand, where on the previous HP laptop I did quite well with just 1 hand.
For the programers, its simply far to sensitive, HP best contact the hardware manufacturer and in Chinese tell them to have it toned down on the firmware level, like tone it down by 90%!
also to HP, please increase your Quality control staff by atleast 50% because the next time I replace a laptop, im not going to be forgiving of a delapitated key on the keyboard, a costly and time consuming problem with a MOUSEPAD and a touchscreen not working correctly.
HP, you've made some changes to your infostructure, I can understand that, Chinese workers cost more and more each day, but I dont care, Move to India, their better and cheeper, ditch your old suppliers or pay them more for parts and quality control because this is just not funny any more, TO ME the customer.

Yep! I just got an Envy m6-n010dx and the track pad / cursor goes crazy!!!! I couldnt even highlight text on my word doc because of. I have already updated the driver multiple times and done the BIOS thing. I dont want to restore because I just bought the computer like 10 days ago. Isnt there another program or something we can install to use the touchpad? This is annoying, but aside from this I really love everything else about this computer so I dont want to have to get another one.

You must get a replacement that's really the only way. You will likely have to send your laptop in to go repair 2-3 times only for them to fail at fixing the problem, then they will offer you a newer replacement model. It should have the same specs or better than your current model. Trust us, there is nothing you can do. I reccomend you either return the laptop for a refund or go down the path I described above.
