@anagh007

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting issues with the keyboard in the notebook, I am glad to assist you.

Update the Bios, chipset, and drivers using HP Support Assistant.

Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here

  • HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
  • Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  • Click Updates in the My notebook pane
  • Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  • Updates list in HP Support Center
  • Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  • Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  • Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

  • Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

@anagh007,

Sounds like your hard drive has MBR partition scheme (not GPT), as MBR supports only up to 4 partitions. You can find out which partition style the hard drive has using the link below.

How to check if drive uses GPT or MBR partition style on Windows 10 - Pureinfotech

If the hard drive is MBR partitioned and you already have four partitions, you can install the Hardware Diag's UEFI to a USB drive. The installation size is only around 160 MB. When the installation setup asks you where to install, select a USB drive.

Upon completion of the installation, leave the USB connected, restart the laptop and go into F2 PC Hardware Diag's UEFI. Select Component Tests and choose Keyboard to proceed the test. You can use touchpad during the diagnostic test.

This test is performed outside of the Windows. So, if the test fails to complete, your keyboard has a hardware issue. If the test passes, the problem may be software/Windows related.
