I am in an APCI bios loop and cannot boot to window. I have check everything that I can and believe I have a corrupted BIOS. The bios is not in the product support but in an earlier post it was suggested "https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp80001-80500/sp80252.exe However it will get an error to create file BID can not find in ROM file.

The latest BIOS update I could find for your notebook is F.54:
Info:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp97001-97500/sp97106.html
Exe:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp97001-97500/sp97106.exe
You can make a BIOS recovery flash drive using another Windows PC.
Watch these videos for how to create and use a BIOS recovery flash drive with the above exe file using another Windows PC:

Thank you for the link to the bios. It loaded on the laptop and went through all the steps with no errors but still was in the same loop. I checked the Bios and found it was still F.47. Am I missing a step somewhere?

Thank you for the link as I was able to download the BOIS. I am still getting a CMOS check sum error 502. I have changed the CMOS battery and downloaded the BOIS from another computer using a new thumb drive. Wanted to see if maybe something downloaded wrong the first time. Still does not update. Does the 502 error mean I have a bad BOIS chip or motherboard?

You're very welcome.
I only know where you could find the latest BIOS update.
Any issues with it not working or errors generated, unfortunately, I can't help you with and recommend that you start a new discussion on that problem or you can google the CMOS check sum error 502.
From the info have seen in the past, it is usually related to a bad BIOS coin cell battery and in the notebooks that don't have the Real Time Clock (RTC) coin cell battery, it is the main battery that needs to be replaced.
Chapter 3 of the service manual has the RTC (also known as the CMOS) battery part number and description and chapter 6 has the RTC removal and replacement procedure.

Thank you for the help. When I went into the APCI BOIS error loop a system test showed an error for the main battery. I replaced the main batter and also replaced the Coin battery also. As this did not fix the issue, I was hoping a BOIS update would help. I will start a new conversation for the 502 error and see what happens. Thank you again for the help and at least I have a copy of the latest BOIS.

Do you know where I can download the Bios Version F.45. This is one that is currently on my laptop. As the latest one does not load correctly is possible until that the F.45 is corrupted and can't be update until it is repaired. I would like to try and load the current version back on.

I know where you can download the file, but you won't be able to create a recovery drive with it as you have already discovered.
