If my laptop is not connected to the charger it turns off. If I need a new battery how do I get the battery number so I can order from Amazon? Do I have to disassemble the laptop to get the number?

- Type the command powercfg /batteryreport and press Enter.
- The battery report will be saved to a path displayed in the command window. Open this file in a web browser to view detailed battery information including the model and part number.

- Restart your laptop and press Esc or F2 as it boots to enter the system diagnostics.
- Navigate to the battery information section, which might list the battery part number.
HP Parts Store:
