HP Recommended

When I load web pages it doesn't load the pictures anymore.   Someone got on here and changed a bunch of the settings and I have no idea what to do to get it back the way it was.  I'm afraid to factory reset it because my schooling stuff is on here and I can't afford for that stuff to disappear.  I know computers a little bit but not enough to mess with certain settings. I have an HP 255 8gib Notebook.
