windows 11 tells me my laptop cannot work with windows 11

intel core i5-7200u cpu 2.50 ghz must be ok

Hi:

 

Microsoft drew the W11 hardware requirements at the Intel 8th gen and newer.

 

Windows processor requirements Windows 11 supported Intel processors | Microsoft Learn

 

That is why your notebook's 7th gen processor is not meeting the requirements.

 

You can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11.
