Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.
I understand that you have an HP Notebook - 15-ac106na. I read that the laptop for the last 3 days is stuck on 'configuring windows updates 74% complete'. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.
The Windows updates should not take this long. So it looks like the updates have failed.
To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Have you tried to abort the updates and checked?
- Did you restart the laptop and check fi that helps.
I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Please download and run the Windows update troubleshooter.
Also, please refer to the following links from this HP article:
- Understanding Windows Update.
- Installing updates using Windows Update.
I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Let me know what happens. Cheers! 🙂
