The BCD file is used to boot into Windows and when it gets corrupted, you can't start Windows anymore.

This is something that with a second PC (used to download stuff and create boot media) can be repaired with a little work.

You will need to create Boot Media using a working PC -- as there is no way to repair this on your current PC.

There several different solutions for this, all of which are free and all of which work ...

1. Macrium Reflect

This is a free tool that can be used to image and restore PCs, but it also has an option to create Rescue Media (in disk or USB form) that can then be used to Repair your PC.

It is available from here: http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

What I recommend is the following:
a) Download and install Macrium Reflect (MR)
b) Use the option to create a boot USB stick or CD
c) Boot your PC from the MR media and select the option to repair the Windows Boot

2. Neosmart's Easy Recovery Essentials

As far as I know, this is also Free -- and here is a link describing it:
https://neosmart.net/wiki/0xc0000034/

3. Doing Startup Repair using Win10 install media

Download and create Win10 install media from this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10

Boot from the media you created, and follow the directions in this link: http://www.windowswally.com/how-to-fix-error-code-0xc0000185/

You will probably have to run Startup Repair three times for it to fix all the boot loader problems.
