HP Recommended

bought a new laptop for my sons birthday.  It fires up but wont let me authorise his account.  It sends an e-mail with the code ok but when I enter it just loops.  I have gone into the start up  and get error 0xc0000225.  This seems to suggest that there is something wrong with the windows 11 install. 

How do I resolve this - does the computer need to go back and get replaced?
