Hi @rice1943,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7100 printer shows “Offline” after switching to a new fiber-optic router, even though copying works from the printer itself. Let’s go through a few steps to get the printer back online with your HP computer.

Confirm the printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi

On the printer screen, open Wireless Settings and check the network name (SSID).

Make sure it matches the new fiber router’s Wi-Fi, not the old one.

Restart all devices

Turn off the printer, computer, and router.

Turn on the router first and wait until the internet light is stable, then turn on the printer, and finally the computer.

Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi

On the printer, go to Setup > Network Setup > Wireless Setup Wizard.

Select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

This updates the printer’s network settings to match the new router.

Check printer status on the computer

Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click the HP ENVY Photo 7100 and select See what’s printing.

From the Printer menu, make sure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.

Remove and re-add the printer

In Devices and Printers, remove the HP ENVY Photo 7100.

Click Add a printer and allow Windows to detect it again on the new network.

This refreshes the printer’s IP address, which often changes with a new router.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Let it automatically fix offline, driver, or network issues related to the new connection.

I hope this helps.
