@Rosnic, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!
Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.
I can help you reinstall the camera driver on your HP Notebook. Please follow these steps:
Option 1: Use HP Support Assistant (Recommended)
- Download and install HP Support Assistant from here:
HP Support Assistant | HP® Support - Open HP Support Assistant and go to the "Updates" section.
- Let it scan your device and install any available updates, including the camera driver.
Option 2: Reinstall via Device Manager
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
- Right-click your camera device (e.g., HP HD Camera) and choose Uninstall device.
- Check the box "Delete the driver software for this device" if available, then click Uninstall.
- Restart your notebook. Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver automatically.
Option 3: Download from HP Website
- Visit the HP Software & Driver page:
Official HP® Support - Enter your HP Notebook model number (e.g., HP 15s-fq2000) and click Submit.
- Go to the Driver - Camera section and download the latest driver.
- Install it and restart your notebook.
If the suggestions helped solve the problem, please let us know by clicking “Accepted Solution.” It really helps fellow users find quick answers.
A quick “Yes” also goes a long way in showing appreciation!
Take care and happy computing!
Best regards,
