Hi,

My laptop says 0% available (plugged in, not charging),I tried the HP Hardware Diognstics program and tested the battery. It failed the test and gave me this failure

UAHURR-000A2X-MFGK7G-C0FX13

logic state: bad cell

charge state : NOT AVAILABLE

The key line I got from this test was "Primary_TestresultString:BAD_CELL". Does this mean I have to replace the battery or is there something I can do to fix this without replacing the battery?

also I have tried updating the BIOS and the issue is still there.  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi, I had the same problem with a Dell Inspiron 1750 and it was a a faulty battery, I bought a new battery and it worked fine for a little while but then went faulty. My problem was due to the laptop's age. Your battery might need to be replaced. If it is a replaceable battery then you'll be fine, however if it is a battery you can't replace, you'll need to contact HP or the retailer you got your laptop from. Hope this helps.
