Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Your disk is formatted using the MBR method and with that, the maximum number of upper-level partitions is hard set at four -- which you apparently already have because any attempt to add anymore forces the conversion of ALL the partitions to Dynamic Disks. This is something you do NOT want to do.
Sorry, but that's a hard limit with no workaround for adding any more partitions.
What you CAN do is the following:
1) Copy the contents of the HP_TOOLS partition to your C: volume
2) Remove the HP_TOOLS partition
3) Shrink the C partition to make some room
4) Create a new partition in the unallocated space
Realize that once you do this, the HP diagnostics routines will likely no longer run anymore because you removed the HP_TOOLS partition.
