Saludos

Hello, for about two months now, once a week, when I try to open the clock and calendar in the bottom right corner, my PC freezes, makes a strange noise, and sometimes the computer shuts down completely, sometimes it doesn't. What is certain is that when I restart it, everything works fine again, but when I check the Reliability Monitor, the reliability history shows that the program ShellExperienceHost.exe version 10.0.26100.8521 stopped interacting with Windows and closed.

What can I do to fix this and prevent it from happening again?

Regards

Hi @viajero1

Thanks for replying in English.

Let us go through structured steps that can help stabilize the experience.

Run HP App – Diagnose & Fix

  • Open the HP App from the Start menu.
  • Select Diagnose & Fix and allow it to complete a full scan.
  • This will automatically check for system file integrity and Windows shell components.

Update Graphics and System Drivers via HP App

  • In the HP App, go to Updates.
  • Install all recommended driver and firmware updates, especially graphics and chipset drivers.
  • Restart the computer after updates are applied.

Check Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  • Ensure the system is fully updated.
  • Apply pending updates and restart.

Reset the HP App if needed

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Select HP App > Advanced Options > Reset.
  • Reopen the HP App and re-run Diagnose & Fix.

Perform a System File Check

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  • Type: sfc /scannow and press Enter.
  • Allow the scan to finish and repair any corrupted system files.

These steps are designed to restore smooth interaction with Windows shell components and prevent ShellExperienceHost.exe from closing unexpectedly.

Hi, for the first step, what do I need to do and install according to the two pages I've pasted? And then run it?

And for the second step, "Update graphics and system drivers through the HP application," could you please tell me the steps I need to follow, page by page?

Thanks

This photo I've pasted is what I downloaded, but I don't know what to do to diagnose and repair it... please guide me because I'm completely lost. What do I do from this page I pasted?

The problem is that what you mentioned about option 1, "diagnose and repair," in the photo I attached, there's no option that allows me to do that. Therefore, please request assistance with the first step and then all the subsequent ones... thank you.

I don't know where I need to go on the HO website. Could Hawks_Eye please tell me?
