I am trying to factory reset my laptop using the HP cloud restore manager tool. The process goes through the reformatting the Windows partition and then restoring the files on the hard drive, but when I restart after the recovery is completed, I get a little window with "got critical error" and if i press ok there is a big red windows that says Critical error detected... no partition found. No process script found...unknow error....x:\windows\system32>

Please help me fix this.

Thank you!

UPDATE: I kept trying restarting with the HP Cloud recovery manager USB and it eventually worked out... I didn't change a thing, it just worked out at one of the few tries.

Hi:

I wouldn't be able to help you with why the cloud recovery drive you made isn't working, but you can also clean install W10

by making a bootable USB W10 installation flash drive using the media creation tool at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

But thanks for your tip, I have created Win 10 installation USB... You never know when you may need it.

You're very welcome.

Glad you got the Cloud recovery tool to finally work.
