I have found out that each time HP support Assistant starts, it fails with error "The Windows Event Log Service must be running". Meanwhile the service is running and restart of the service does not help.

(1) Install old HP Support Assistant version

HP Support Assistant

9.7.536.0 Rev.A167.0 MBJul 19, 2021Download

 

(2) Restart Windows

(3) Uninstall old HP Support Assistant version

(4) Restart Windows

 

(5) Download and install

HP Support Assistant (Microsoft Apps Store)

or

HP Support Assistant 9.19.52.0

or

HP Support Assistant

9.20.22.0 Rev.A

165.9 MB
