Hello. I updated my laptop BIOS to the latest version yesterday. I noticed a message that says "There is an issue with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) data. Press [Y] - Reset whole TPM, Press [N] - Boot with current TPM data. Note: Bitlocker may require the recovery key to boot to Windows" after update was finished.
While the laptop works normally, it says that "something happened and your PIN is not available, click to set up your PIN again" when I boot to windows login screen. I have tried both options in BIOS (first N and then Y) and I get the same message every time I boot.

Thank you for reply. Yes, and for me when I click N I cannot log in to windows because it says that my PIN is not working after update. Even after I restart, I get the same message, I click Y and my PIN is not working again. That is why both options are useless, it is troubling.
So I tried to reset TPM and set up my PIN in windows. But this is not the only problem I have. I remember that my laptop restarted on its own before it updated BIOS less than a month ago, which is very unusual.
Because always when I get any BIOS update, it asks me first to do that.

I have the same problem. However, I managed to set up the Windows login PIN again. So Windows starts again. But the problem remains that every time you restart the PC, the window with the TPM login options immediately appears again. Also, after starting Windows, the Windows Security Center shows that TPM is not present.
I then performed a BIOS rollback. The PC then started normally again. However, the BIOS update was immediately carried out again the next time I rebooted and the previously existing problems reoccurred. Apparently the BIOS update is faulty. I haven't been able to contact official HP support yet; the telephone hotline is hopelessly overloaded.
Since the BIOS update, the TPM function is no longer available under the security settings in the BIOS.

I also have the same laptop. It was automatically updated today and after updating the BIOS firmware, it showed me this error. I enter Windows by selecting the N option, but unfortunately, after restarting, I still receive an error. The TPM feature is not displayed in the BIOS either, and it seems to be a problem with the update file.

German telephone customer support solved the problem.
When the window appears at startup with the two options "Reset well TPM or Boot with current TPM-Data", then I had to press the letter "Z" on the German keyboard. On the English keyboard this will be the letter "Y". Just as it is displayed in the selection window. This causes the TPM module to be reset and then the computer works again without any problems.
